RALEIGH -- An ambitious central Raleigh development cleared its final hurdle Tuesday, when the Raleigh City Council unanimously approved preliminary site plans for The Residences at Cameron Village.
The $45 million project will place 282 apartments, 16,000 square feet of retail and a 450-space parking deck on a 2.6-acre site at the northeast corner of the intersection of Oberlin Road and Clark Avenue.
Although the project exceeds a 50-foot height limitation on new construction in Cameron Village, developer Crescent Resources supplied evidence that the site plan met city code criteria.
Construction is expected to begin in early May.
